Proving that it does indeed “take a village to raise a child,” our City Scholars AfterSchool Network® (CSAN) offers a simple, yet powerful and replicable model of a small group of non-profit, neighborhood after-school programs (as many as 15) learning, growing and partnering together to better serve thousands of inner-city youth.

Through our innovative and “tuition-free” AfterSchool Leadership Academy, we facilitate and support this interactive learning community, helping our CSAN member agencies grow strong, survive and thrive.  Our Academy provides the quality training, coaching and networking opportunities with peers, grantmakers and community leaders that they need, but so often cannot afford.

Currently, we are proud to partner with the following 10 CSAN member agencies in Los Angeles County to help more than 11,000 inner-city youth fulfill their potential as inner – “City Scholars®:”
